Gives me a guide to preventing diabetes

“I liked the conversational way the author discusses this subject. I must say here that I am not diabetic but I am moving towards being pre diabetic so this book is good for me that it gives me a guide to preventing diabetes instead of having to manage it.

One of the comments I would like to make about the section on how unsweetened soy foods can be beneficial is that I would like to add that this would not include synthetic soy products but are now being widely produced in Japan today rather than the natural soy from yesterday.

I don’t agree with the previous reviewer as I see merit in what the author is trying to convey. I totally agree especially with the author about too many fruits are not good for a diabetic (or anyone keeping their weight at a normal level for that matter) as they contain natural sugars and many like she stated also contain carbohydrate. Fruit is good, too much is bad.

I also agree with her about the use of more natural fats like butter and olive oil and I have changed over in the last year but I have to add that the use of butter should be very sparingly.

I have never heard of Mate tea but I will be looking into that so overall I think this book is very beneficial to those trying to prevent moving towards diabetes or even those trying to lose weight because following the authors suggestions you would have a better diet which in turn would help with any weight problems or elevated sugar levels.”
