How Can A Diabetic Boost Metabolism? Part 6

After all the articles you’ve read on metabolism, it should be evident by now that you really do have control over your metabolism.

Whether you are a diabetic or not doesn’t matter. You can still control your metabolism. If you have Type 1 Diabetes, the insulin you take is partaking in the process of controlling your metabolism.

Often people say things like, “My mother had diabetes and died from it and so will I” or “I’m resolved to the fact that I will get XYZ disease because it runs in my family”.

What hogwash! These are words spoken either by someone who is either very ignorant and won’t read up on health issues to solve them, or someone who wants to pass the buck of responsibility onto others. Why not blame our parents for everything that goes wrong with us?

Well, the reason why you shouldn’t blame others for your problems … even health problems … is that blaming others is not taking responsibility for yourself. And when you do this over and over again, it’s called a character disorder. That’s when they (psychiatrists) can come in and prescribe psychiatric medications to remedy the situation.

Is that what you want?

The fact is that what goes in your mouth affects the production of proteins, enzymes, tissues, organs and everything in the body. And unless someone is feeding you by the forkful or by tube feedings, you have control over the process.

Stop making excuses! Change what you eat and boost your metabolism.
